September 21st is World Alzheimer's Day, a momentous occasion to raise awareness about the disease and other dementias. Although only 4 out of 10 Americans promptly consult their doctor when experiencing early memory or cognitive loss, 7 out of 10 would prefer an earlier Alzheimer's diagnosis to enable earlier treatment. Purple Flag communities are readily available to identify potential signs of memory loss and provide high-quality care. Learn more at PurpleFlag.org.
