Many EMS agencies across the country are now utilizing the #Warrior lite to take cold-stored blood and deliver it at normothermic temperatures, ensuring optimal care for patients in the field. This innovative, battery-powered, handheld device warms blood as it's transfused, addressing the critical need to prevent further harm, especially in trauma cases where patients may already be hypothermic. Medics in D.C., for example, have adopted the Warrior Lite to improve patient outcomes. Fire and EMS Chief John A. Donnelly emphasized, 'We want to deliver our blood in the same way it’s being delivered in a hospital. We don’t want to further harm the patient.'
