The Quad Cities Chamber is the champion for business and community progress. We passionately unite the Quad Cities region to create, grow and prosper. The Quad Cities is an optimal location for business growth, and the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce is your go-to organization for all business resources. The area boasts cool places, creative people, a connected region, and a prosperous economy. Our mission here at the Chamber is to strengthen and enhance the local business environment, represent the interests of our members, and foster balanced growth in the Quad Cities region. When you couple that with our vision to be the preeminent advocate for business and catalyst for economic growth in the Quad Cities region and our commitment to advancing the economic strength of our community, the Chamber is by far your one-stop-shop organization for all business resources. We work with local companies to identify business needs, obstacles, and opportunities. Then we connect them to the appropriate resources needed to meet their goals. The Chamber also actively markets the Quad Cities region across the country, promoting the benefits of doing business in our community. We currently serve upwards of 2,000 businesses, 80,000 employees across a wide spectrum of industries, from retail and manufacturing to defense and logistics, along with many others -- large, medium and small.   • Ryan Sempf, the Chamber’s Executive Director for Government Affairs served on a panel at the 2024 Corn Belt Ports & Upper Mississippi River Regional Multi-Modal Port & Logistic Center Annual meeting on Thursday, Oct. 10. 🤝💙 The event held at WIU Quad Cities, focused on advancing multi-modal transportation and natural infrastructure investment in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. Transportation and supply chain professionals were in attendance to discuss area infrastructure investments and improvements that will enable our region to be more nationally and globally competitive and more sustainable. #QCThatsWhere #QuadCities #GovernmentAffairs

  • 🎉 Congratulations to Douglas Machine and Engineering, LLC for hosting a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, Oct. 9, to celebrate their new CNC production shop! 🛠️ With an investment in new machinery and equipment, this project has a total economic impact of $888K. 💵 Douglas Machine is a design-to-build fabrication and machine shop. They develop welding fixtures and assembly fixtures that utilize both manual and robotic functions. Douglas Machine can concept, design, and build specialty equipment for most applications. They have their own machining centers that can handle up to 20 tons. 💪 The other side of their business focuses on production machining using CNC turning and milling equipment. ⚙️ They are a full-service shop that also handles purchasing specialty materials and outsourcing specialty processing.
