Last week, QSCC proudly hosted students from The Ohio State University’s Pathways to Supply Chain program at our HQ. As a founding co-sponsor, we’re thrilled to continue our support of these bright scholars and see the program grow. The day included a behind-the-scenes tour of our shared campus with The Wendy's Company, engaging lunch discussions, and insights from our team on project management, logistics, procurement, and more. The students' enthusiasm and questions were inspiring! Special thanks to our QSCC presenters and to the scholars for joining us. Throughout this month, QSCC came together to give back and brighten the holidays for others through our Giving Tree, featuring ornaments with items to donate to families and pets in need. 🎄✨ We provided gifts and essentials to four families, making their holidays unforgettable through The Salvation Army Adopt-a-Family program. We were also able to provide pet essentials and gifts for Rico Pet Recovery, a nonprofit that recovers lost pets in Central Ohio, reuniting them with families or finding new homes. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and donated to the cause! 

We had an amazing time hosting "The Cook-Off"! 🍲🔥QSCC associates brought various delicious chilis and soups to be entered into contention for The Cook-Off.  Through this event, we raised over $500 in donations for our signature cause, the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. The proceeds will help impact the lives of hundreds of children in foster care across the U.S. and Canada, aiding in their search for permanent and loving homes. Our special guest judges, John Li, Chelci Gardner, and Rachel Milligan, MPA awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes, and the "People’s Choice" award went to the crowd favorite. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to everyone who entered their dishes!

Throughout the month, our team came together to make blankets for My Very Own Blanket. This wonderful organization is dedicated to providing comfort, security, and smiles to children in the foster care system and those in need. Volunteers cut and knotted fleece, adding personal touches to each blanket. A heartfelt thank you to all our associates who participated and made a difference. We appreciate your willingness to Give Something Back!

On November 15, 1969, Dave Thomas opened the first Wendy’s restaurant in Columbus, OH. Today, 55 years later, The Wendy's Company family and QSCC proudly celebrate Dave’s lasting legacy and the values that guide our work: quality, integrity, respect, opportunity, and responsibility. This week, our associates came together to honor Dave through a series of meaningful events: Recognition Day, visiting our local Wendy’s restaurants, Volunteer Day at Mid-Ohio Food Collective and WeCANstruct canned food competition, and finally Dress Like Dave Day. Thank you to all our associates who participated and continue to embody Dave Thomas’ values every day. 🍔 Happy Founder’s Day!🍟

In honor of Veteran’s Day, we proudly celebrate the incredible contributions of our associates who are veterans, as well as their families who have served. In recognition of their dedication and sacrifice, we are displaying military branch flags and photos of service members in our office this week. We are also hosting a special lunch from veteran-owned Smitty’s BBQ. Though it is a small gesture for their great sacrifices, we deeply appreciate their service and commitment.
