About us
Quality Testing, LLC (QT) has been helping owner agencies, contractors, commercial material suppliers, construction managers, engineering consultants, and private developers achieve and document the quality of their construction activities and processes since 2000. We offer various services, including construction materials testing, construction management, general civil and structural inspection, geotechnical engineering and related testing, pavement section and mix design, and construction quality program development and implementation. After more than two decades of service, our guiding light remains the pursuit of quality construction accompanied by thorough and accurate observation and testing documentation. Quality Testing, LLC’s (QT) materials laboratory is American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) accredited and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) validated. There are very few construction materials testing laboratories in the United States as broadly AASHTO Accredited and experienced as QT.

We are pleased to announce an opening for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join us in the Phoenix, Arizona area. The successful candidate will be performing geotechnical analyses, assist with proposal development, and prepare and review design and construction submittals for geotechnical compliance with applicable codes, design standards, project requirements, and contract documents. The Geotechnical Engineer will also serve as a geotechnical project manager and communicate with clients regarding project status. Requirements: -Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related engineering degree. -Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Arizona. -Minimum 5 years of experience in geotechnical/civil/ engineering projects. -Demonstrated technical competence in subsurface exploration, soil classification, analysis for shallow and deep foundations, slope stability analysis, pavement design, and report preparation. -Strong leadership and written/verbal communication skills -Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required. -Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects on time and budget. -Experience with supporting the acquiring, performing and managing of federal, state, and local government and private sector client projects. Responsibilities: -Geotechnical engineering analysis and evaluations for earthwork/excavation support, shallow/deep. foundation design and analysis, settlement analysis, and pavement design -Plan, schedule, and conduct field and laboratory services for a wide range of project types -Oversee engineering services during construction of projects including materials testing -Write geotechnical engineering reports presenting findings and recommendations. -Serve as project manager to develop scope, schedule, and budget and ensure successful project delivery -Participate in local, regional, and national engineering related organizations. QT is proud to provide QC on the Gilbert Water Tower Plaza! This project by Willmeng Construction, Inc. included the upgrade and replacement of the existing splash pad operating system, reconfiguration of the open space areas, the addition of a new restroom building to fit the pump house and IDF room, modification of existing parking area, expansion of shaded areas, and general improvements and upgrades to the existing space.
As Parks and Recreation Month comes to a close, we wanted to shine a spotlight on a few current projects sprinkled throughout The Valley. It has been an honor to be working on incredible projects including McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park with the City of Scottsdale, Glendale Heroes Regional Park with the City of Glendale AZ, Gilbert Water Tower Plaza with the Gilbert, Arizona, Surprise Pool and Fire with the City of Surprise, and Kennedy Skate Park with the City of Yuma, Arizona. These projects aim to enhance community spaces, promote outdoor activities, and foster a stronger sense of togetherness. We're building vibrant, welcoming places for everyone to enjoy.
