This week, QCD customer Starbucks honored the Charlotte distribution center team for going above and beyond to support Starbucks partners in the communities of Asheville, North Carolina and Augusta, Georgia with #HurricaneHelene relief efforts. QCD Charlotte General Manager Scott VanLue and the team procured supplies, loaded up a QCD truck, and delivered food, hygiene items, diapers, and sleeping cots for about 300 Starbucks employees and their family members who have been displaced from their homes by the hurricane. 🚛 🤝 In appreciation, Starbucks presented QCD with a first-ever supplier Bravo Award, which has traditionally recognized Starbucks team members as an internal honor for “living our mission and values.” Jimmy Shah, Starbucks Senior Distribution Manager, East Region, shared the following remarks: “The Starbucks Bravo award is to recognize and honor true champions of our culture, who make exceptional contributions to Starbucks and those around them that will leave a lasting impact over time. Congrats Charlotte team!” ✨ Read more in the full story at the link below. ⬇️   #QualityCustomDistribution #lookforthehelpers #communitysupport

This core initiative provides first graders in need with a backpack full of essential supplies, so they can kick off the school year ready to learn. 🎒 QCD Indianapolis donated 408 bikes to local elementary school students. 🎒 QCD Las Vegas donated 192 backpacks to kids in the community where associates live and work. 🎒 QCD Los Angeles donated 192 backpacks to students in need. 🎒 QCD Miami donated 252 backpacks to local schools. 🎒 QCD Orlando donated 504 backpacks to first graders in Florida. 🎒 QCD Phoenix donated 144 backpacks to students in neighborhood schools. 🎒 QCD Portland donated 204 backpacks to local elementary schools. 🎒 QCD Salt Lake donated 432 backpacks to children in need. 🎒 QCD San Antonio donated 432 backpacks to students at local schools. 🎒 QCD Spokane donated 72 backpacks to elementary school students. 🎒 QCD Suffolk donated 312 backpacks to school-aged kids. 🎒 QCD Waipahu donated 240 backpacks to students in need. 🎒 QCD Washington, D.C., donated 104 backpacks to families in need of school supplies. For many children and families, backpacks and school supplies are unaffordable purchases. During a #NationalTruckDriverAppreciationWeek celebration at QCD Suffolk this week, Chick-fil-A Restaurants leaders presented their Driver of the Year Award to Jeff Matthew, Sr.! 🚛 🎉 Selected from among 3,000 drivers, Jeff earned this well-deserved customer recognition for consistently going above and beyond to support Chick-fil-A and providing an outstanding delivery experience. A QCD associate since 2010, Jeff also stands out to Chick-fil-A as a leading driver for his values as a long-time volunteer, donor, and supporter of the GSF Foundation, the corporate nonprofit of QCD’s parent company, Golden State Foods. 😃 Fun Fact: Jeff’s two sons are part of the QCD Suffolk team, too! With every backpack packed full of love and care, our committees helped ensure that first-grade students in need head back to school fully equipped to learn. Our GSF Foundation team in Dallas, Texas organized a splash-worthy penny jar challenge during Associate Appreciation Week earlier this year. The group that donated the most had a chance to dunk their manager.
