This week, Quantori’s Global Head of Sustainability and ESG, Shamilka Samarasinha, was invited to the Global Compact’s 2024 SDG Summit USA Roundtable on “Driving Health Equity Forward." The roundtable discussion centered on how American companies can advance health equity and included leaders from the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors globally. Participants explored topics ranging from the critical role of the American private sector in addressing health equity to the transformative potential of technology and innovation in shaping the future of equitable healthcare. SDG Summit USA, held during the United Nations General Assembly, celebrates the successes of the U.S. private sector in sustainability and seeks to identify further contributions toward Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development. "I was honored to be part of such an important discussion with industry leaders who have been trailblazing the path for health equity, not just within their own companies but as a global imperative. Advancing health equity is a responsibility we cannot take lightly. It was inspiring to join this esteemed group of leaders driving meaningful change.
