🌐 #Leica #RTC360 Featuring #LouiseBourgeois 's #Maman #Sculpture 🕸️ After our recent visit to City of Ottawa / Ville d’Ottawa to scan the iconic #Maman sculpture by Louise Bourgeois, we’re excited to share the full reveal of the #3D model in all its stunning #detail! 🎥📸👇 This massive bronze sculpture, with its intricate angles and #challenging surfaces, was captured in just 20 minutes using the #advanced capabilities of the Leica Geosystems part of Hexagon #RTC360. The Leica RTC360 3D laser scanner is specified to #capture #data at an impressive rate of 2 million points per second. However, in practical applications, it operates internally at a rate of 4 million points per second by emitting two laser pulses for each measurement—one at high intensity and another at low intensity. This dual-pulse system enhances the scanner’s #ability to accurately capture various surface types, including high-reflectivity or darker surfaces. By selectively recording the most #optimal signal from each pulse, the #RTC360 delivers #comprehensive and #reliable scan data across different materials and surface conditions. With an accuracy of 1.9mm at 10 meters, the #RTC360 is able to capture every intricate angle of this impressive sculpture in crisp, clear detail.
