Record-Breaking Year for Our 11th Annual Run For Research 5K! This past weekend, we were beyond thrilled to host over 2,000 runners and push our 2024 fundraising efforts past the $1.3 million mark — all in support of Parkinson’s research with The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research (MJFF)! 🧡 Parkinson’s affects an estimated 1 million people in the U.S. and 6 million worldwide, and while there is currently no cure, we are determined to help change that. We’re proud to partner with MJFF, where 88 cents of every dollar goes directly to groundbreaking research. A massive THANK YOU to our amazing Run for Research volunteers, with a special shoutout to Kayla Zimmerman and Samantha Widem for leading this incredible event. A boil alert advisory impacting 60,000 residents in Grand Prairie, Texas, sprung our DFW Distribution Center into action. The team coordinated with local government officials and assembled 12 pallets (1,008 cases) of RaceTrac-branded bottled water for distribution at a designated water pickup site.   Residents have been instructed since Tuesday night not to drink, bathe or cook with the city’s water after a foaming agent used to fight fires was discovered in the water supply of the Dallas suburb. City crews are currently investigating the issue and working to isolate the affected area.   “It is simply the RaceTrac Way for our DC team to rise to the occasion and assist those in need,” said Lucas Cameron, senior supply chain merchandise manager. “Many of our own team members were impacted by the water supply contamination and all of us were eager to do what we could to help the community – our neighbors – cope with this temporary inconvenience.”

Every quarter, we proudly recognize excellence by awarding the RaceTrac Way Champ award to an outstanding member of our store team. This quarter, from our Dallas-Fort Worth Region, we are excited to celebrate Aaron Eckhoff!! Aaron is the General Manager of one of our newest Travel Centers at store #2641 Texarkana, Texas. He has opened two new travel centers in the past year in Texas and invested countless hours meticulously training his new teams before their opening days.  Excerpts from Justin’s nominations: “He always makes sure his staff is taken care of and that everyone gets the best training.
