We will discuss the barriers that women of color face and strategize ways to support their advancement and well-being in the workplace ↗ Register: bit.ly/1016DoubleBind Wednesday, November 13th 1-2pm EST:  ▪ Accessing Authentic Leadership as Women of Color: Often, leadership development programs are designed to teach women of color how to act more like White men. In our Lunch & Learn, we will guide you through insightful discussions and practical exercises designed to elevate your leadership journey whether you are a Woman of Color yourself or you manage or work with one. Year after year, the McKinsey & Company's Women in the Workplace report highlights the unique experiences of women and particularly women of color. This year, the report (https://lnkd.in/e5BZMzus), the 10 year anniversary, highlights how far we have come as a society and how far we still need to go. Spoiler alert: Women of Color are not doing much better and many programs (diversity and professional development opportunities) have been scaled back over the last ten years. Join Vanity and I as we host a FREE Lunch and Learn "The Double Bind: Women of Color’s Workplace Realities" next Wednesday, the 16th 1-2pm. We will highlight some of the key data of the report and share out solutions to create workplaces where women of color can thrive. 📣 This workshop is open to all - AND this is a specific invitation to white folx and men of color - who impact the experiences that we have at work. We have about 15 registrants and would like to double that! 📣 We hope you can join this important conversation. Register here: bit.ly/1016DoubleBind and tag your network in the comments! . . . PS. We have second free Lunch & Learn coming up next month that you can also learn about here: https://lnkd.in/exAETQ4x

I am thrilled to announce the launch of a two-month coaching series dedicated to exploring all things Coaching! For the past ten years, I have immersed myself in this field—designing coaching programs, coaching other coaches and receiving my coaching certification—making it a true passion of mine. 🌟 This series is for anyone who has ever wondered what it means to work with a coach, for those interested in understanding what occurs during a coaching session and for anyone exploring whether coaching is the right fit for their professional development. Throughout this series, we will cover: 1) What coaching truly is (and isn’t) and all that it entails 2) My relationship with coaching: my journey and its transformative impact on both my clients and myself. Join me as we uncover the beauty and potential of coaching together! -- We’ll kick off with our first post: an introduction to coaching. We will explore: my Coaching Definition, the different types of coaching I offer and who it might be best for. Stay tuned every Friday as I share these coaching insights. Let's stay connected - feel free to schedule an exploratory call (bit.ly/RVCCoaching) or sign up for my newsletter (bit.ly/RVCNewsletter) for updates, including upcoming coaching specials. I hope this series reveals the possibilities that coaching can offer. #Coaching #ProfessionalGrowth #CoachingSeries

Proud to have facilitated the “Exploring Ourselves” workshop on Saturday, September 7th, at the Teach For America's Florida Regions (Miami) Fall All Corps Conference, connecting with over 50 novice educators! My love for leadership development shines through in these spaces, and I’m grateful to Matthew (Matt) Boerner and the broader team for inviting me to be part of this transformative experience. Together, we dove into understanding our values and intersectional identities, empowering ourselves to become more effective anti-racist teachers. By reflecting on our visions and practices through the lens of our own experiences, we created a space for growth and connection. I appreciate the opportunity to share insights, including real snapshots from my own teaching practice, to make the content relatable and actionable. Brought me back to 2012 when I was a new teacher trying to make sense of all the moving pieces. I encourage all educators to align their visions with their practices—it’s a powerful step toward impactful teaching. Here’s to a successful year learning and growing. 💫
