Radiance was honored to co-host an Alabama Reception for the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) with Congressman Robert Aderholt, Co-Chair of CCAI, this week. CCAI is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to raising awareness about children worldwide who need permanent, safe families and removing barriers that prevent them from realizing this basic right. Radiance CEO Bill Bailey, who serves on CCAI's Board of Directors, is deeply passionate about adoption and foster care. For him and his wife Sharon, it's more than a cause: “it’s a family mission,” he said. The event highlighted CCAI's crucial mission: finding permanent, safe homes for millions of children worldwide. Thank you to all who attended and supported this vital cause. Together, we're making a difference in the lives of children who need it most.

We’re pleased to give a $5,000 donation to Miami Valley Meals in Dayton, OH, as part of our ongoing Radiance Gives charitable efforts. Supporting their Prepared Meals Program, this grant will help provide nutritious meals to the greater Dayton community using recovered food that would otherwise go to waste. Radiance employee-owners Melissa McCann and Danielle Righi visited the Miami Valley Meals facility where Development Manager Scott Kayser and Development Assistant Tracey VanDewerker shared some of the incredible work the team does to support the community through food recovery and meal preparation. The organization also offers weekday volunteer opportunities for groups of 4-8 people to assist with meal preparation, including upcoming Thanksgiving meal prep sessions on Saturdays later this year. Our grant will help Miami Valley Meals continue their vital work, ensuring more meals reach those in need while reducing food waste. We're honored to support their mission and encourage community involvement. For more information and volunteer opportunities, visit miamivalleymeals.org.

Radiance Technologies, through our Radiance Gives charitable program, is proud to donate $5,000 to First Stop in Huntsville, AL. This grant will support their Homeless-To-Housed Initiative, dedicated to helping individuals transition from homelessness to stable, independent living by providing comprehensive outreach, case management, and substance use support services. First Stop's outreach team works directly with homeless individuals in encampments and on the streets, building trust and offering critical resources that address both immediate and long-term needs. With Huntsville’s growing homeless population, this grant will help ensure that First Stop can continue making a significant impact in the lives of those they serve. One of our Radiance Gives board members, Tom Anderson, visited the First Stop facility, where he met with Development Director Brian Anderson and Executive Director Chad Rodriguez. During the visit, they provided Tom with a tour of the facility and highlighted the various outreach and support services they offer to the homeless community. Radiance is proud to stand behind First Stop's crucial mission. Learn more about their work and how to get involved at firststop.org.

Yesterday, we were thrilled to present a $4,000 donation to Dr. Kimberly Luse with the FISHER-NIGHTINGALE HOUSES, INC. in Dayton, OH. This donation was made possible through our Annual Golf Tournament in June along with generous contributions from Radiance's president, Jim Scanlon, and his wife through their National Philanthropic Trust, as well as from VFW Beavercreek Memorial Post 8312. These compassionate care facilities provide crucial support to patients and families receiving treatment at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the Dayton VA Medical Center. As these houses rely on private donations for their operations, proceeds from our tournament will directly support their mission.

A huge thank you to our employee-owners, corporate partners, and friends for coming out to the 2024 Mark O. Moore Memorial Golf Tournament yesterday! Our annual tournament supports Army Emergency Relief (AER) and their mission to provide zero-interest loans, grants, and academic scholarships for soldiers, retired soldiers, and their families. On top of benefiting AER, this tournament honors employee-owner Mark O. Moore, who was with us for 14 years. Continuing this tradition in Mark's name allows us to celebrate his legacy and contribute to a cause that impacts countless military lives. We especially appreciate the Moore family and AER representatives CPT Maria Salih, 1SG Michael Mills, and SGT Corey Latimore for attending. Congrats to Sameer Singhal, Allison Boyd, and Stephen Cayson with CFD Research Corporation for winning the tournament!
