Last month Radius Design celebrated a significant milestone - our 5-year anniversary! It's been an incredible ride filled with teamwork, problem solving, support, and many great projects with great clients. None of this would have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our amazing team. To celebrate this special occasion, we decided to step out of the office and have some fun at Urban Putt in San Jose. Not only did we get to showcase our impeccable putting skills (well, some of us did!), but more importantly, we strengthened our bonds, shared laughs, and created lasting memories. 🌟 Exciting News from Radius! 🌟 Radius is thrilled to announce the successful energization of Cityline Block 3S in Sunnyvale by PG&E – and yes, the team did so on schedule, despite the challenging weather conditions in California.  Cityline Block 3S is a downtown infill project, consisting of 800,000 square feet of new construction, including retail, 479 total apartments, 53 affordable housing units, and a one acre public park. Ever wondered how a large and complex project achieves PG&E energization ahead of time with minimal plan revisions? Here's the winning formula: 1. Stellar Project Team Assembly: Hats off to Thor Hoskins, Jeff Smith and the rest of the Sares Regis Group team for putting together and leading an outstanding project team; BKF Engineers, Radius Design, Helix Electric and an extra shout out to Wes Sims of Build Group. Their collaborative approach has been evident in every aspect of the project. 2. Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Our success story is woven with strong communication, dedication, and teamwork. Shoutout to the entire Cityline 3S team for fostering collaboration among various disciplines, ensuring a consistent flow of information and conflict resolution. 3. Top-notch Utility Support: We’d like to personally thank Pacific Gas and Electric Company and Industrial Power Engineer Visakha Bounlutay for her outstanding teamwork, responsiveness, and unwavering willingness to lend a hand. 4. Partnership with PG&E: Treating PG&E as a true partner has been pivotal. Special thanks to Matthew Ventura, PMP Kevin Douty and the PG&E New Business Technical and Advisory Committee for working closely with CBIA to streamline processes, resulting in vastly improved energization lead times.  5. A couple of weeks ago Radius Design had the privilege of attending the UC Davis Engineering, Energy and Technology Career Fair. Our team had an amazing experience. The enthusiasm and talent exhibited by students were truly impressive. It was inspiring to witness their passion and determination to make a positive impact in their chosen fields. It is essential for Radius Design to stay connected with educational institutions like UC Davis, as they nurture the next generation of professionals. Not only were we able to identify potential candidates for our company but also it gave us an opportunity to contribute to their career development.
