👏 👏 👏 Returning home from #GIIN2024 in Amsterdam with a lingering cold ('tis the season) and a renewed sense of gratitude for all of our global allies at Raven Indigenous Outcomes Funds. Jeffrey Cyr and I met with old, new and future partners to bring Indigenous perspectives and community-centric, Canadian approaches to global conversations. It was a pleasure stepping in to co-host an honest and opportunity oriented discussion with the great Jocelyn King from First Australians Capital where we underscored that success for Indigenous Peoples is success for all Peoples. A favourite line from that day, "Indigenous epistemology tells us that our economy needs to be viewed as a human economy; if it is to be sustainable over the long run it must harness regenerative processes: interconnection, reciprocity and mutualism." Thank you to #GIIN2024 for encouraging Raven Indigenous Outcomes Funds to be part of the Blended Capital Market, I was introduced to brilliant blended Fund models (and leaders) leveraging all forms of capital towards their missions. Overall, I'm proud and thankful for the opportunity to have brought #RIOF to the global main stage and am extremely eager to see newly seeded interest bloom into meaningful relationships as we sprint towards our second close in Q1 2025. Thrilled to have kicked off #SOCAP24 by leading the Opening Ceremony yesterday. It was an honor to set the stage before Jeffrey Cyr’s panel discussion on leveraging blended capital to drive systemic change and empower communities.
