Staying informed is crucial when it comes to your healthcare. A recent study found that switching to Medicare Advantage might increase financial burdens, particularly for vulnerable populations and those with lower incomes. As healthcare options can significantly impact your financial and overall well-being, it's important to understand the potential risks and benefits. Knowledge empowers you to make informed decisions! 💡 Image courtesy of Kansas Hospital Association #StayInformed #HealthcareChoices #MedicareAwareness #RawlinsCountyHealth

𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 Rawlins County Health Center's Infection Prevention and Control would like to remind everyone that October is the official start of Influenza season. - Remember that the influenza vaccine does not cause the flu. - Influenza is a respiratory virus and the vaccine helps to decrease the risks of getting the virus. - The "Gl flu" is not the same thing as Influenza and is NOT the vaccine's purpose of coverage. - Cover your cough with your elbow or arm, not your hands. - When washing your hands, use warm water and soap, rinsing thoroughly for about 20 seconds (long enough to sing the ABC song or the Happy Birthday song twice). - Use hand sanitizer or wash your hands after blowing your nose and often throughout the day. - If your hands are visibly dirty, clean them with soap and water. Rawlins County Health Center wishes you all a happy and healthy Fall and Winter season!
