THANK YOU to everyone who has donated to our Hurricane Helene Relief Supply Drive. Together, we sent her $6,000 in supplies to Western NC and Eastern TN. As recovery continues, needs are changing. We are shifting our efforts to fundraising for generators and camping stoves for those who are still without power. Please consider donating through the link below so we can help keep people warm and fed. https://lnkd.in/eWWPRK7t #raysofgratitude #gratitudeinaction #hurricanehelene #wcstrong

An important part of turtle conservation is tagging and tracking. Catching sea turtles allows us to measure growth, track migration patterns, and observe other behaviors. Along with UVI and the Hawksbill Project, we’ve been able to help collect valuable data in the journey for sea turtle conservation. #raysofgratitude #gratitudeinaction

It may save your life. This week, Rays of Gratitude's own team member, Megan Kanzinger, has published a piece detailing her experience through Hurricane Helene. Click the link below to read her firsthand account through the storm and the days following. On behalf of Megan, and the people of Western North Carolina, thank you so much for your continued support and the donations that we were able to send to the victims of Hurricane Helene. This cause has been dear to our hearts, and we are so grateful for you and the help we have been able to provide! https://lnkd.in/daE9jRWZ #raysofgratitude #GratitudeInAction #HurricaneHelene #WNCStrong

TEAM MEMBER HIGHLIGHT. This week, we are highlighting our CEO and President, Cori McKee. Rays of Gratitude was founded by Cori McKee, a single mom to two amazing kids who inspire her every day. The organization grew from Cori's belief in the transformative power of gratitude and her firsthand experience with the impact of positive relationships. Balancing a busy life with her work at MBO Partners, founding Rays of Gratitude, and her lovely children - who keep her busy with sports, school activities, and their boundless energy - Cori finds joy in creating space for connection and kindness in her community. Especially if it's grabbing a coffee with a friend. When she's not cheering from the sidelines or organizing community events, Cori loves to travel to new places, especially those with beautiful beaches. She also treasures time spent with friends and bonding with people who share her values. Through Rays of Gratitude, she hops to create a lasting impact, helping others find joy and connection through the simple, yet profound, practice of gratitude. #raysofgratitude #gratitudeinaction

Happy Friday! As we head into the weekend, we're reminiscing on our trip to St. Thomas this past January. We partnered with the Hawksbill Project and the University of the Virgin Islands Center for Marine and Environmental Studies to survey, tag, and research endangered hawksbill and green sea turtles. We also got to take a tour of Reef Response's coral restoration organization and teach proper turtle catch-and-release protocol to up and coming free divers! Professional photography and videography by Dan Mele Photography. #raysofgratitude #gratitudeinaction

At Rays of Gratitude, we are dedicated to preserving the health of our oceans and the creatures that call them home. Through our Wildlife Conservation Pillar, we not only protect endangered marine species but also conduct research and conservation trips to study endangered sea turtles in their natural habitats. By combining education, hands-on conservation, and advocacy for marine protection, we are working to secure a future where sea turtles and our oceans can thrive. Together we can make waves of change for our seas. #raysofgratitude #gratitudeinaction #oceanconservation #wildlifeconservation #protectouroceans

One Year of Rays of Gratitude! In just 365 day, we’ve made waves! From assisting in sea turtle conservation efforts in the beautiful waters of St. Thomas and St. John, to launching our Conservation Education Program, and collecting over $2,500 in supplies for Hurricane Helene victims, we are beyond grateful for this journey. Thank you to our incredible supporters who made this possible. Here’s to another year of creating ripples of positive change together. #raysofgratitude #gratitudeinaction #makingwaves #oneyearstrong #seaturtleconservation
