  • Our neighbors in Western North Carolina need YOUR help!! We have put together a virtual donation spot where you can donate to help those impacted by Hurricane Helene. https://lnkd.in/e4K5j4Sr 💸 100% of the proceeds collected will be going to the disaster relief from Hurricane Helene “Cash is best,” according to FEMA’s website. It’s the most effective, flexible way to aid organizations. FEMA recommends donating to verified organizations directing money to on-the-ground groups that know what communities need. 🚗 North Carolina government agencies are urging people to avoid affected areas. Please refrain from deploying resources or supplies on your own without coordinating with established organizations that have the necessary infrastructure. https://lnkd.in/e4K5j4Sr 📲 NC REALTORS® has filed a request for housing-related assistance from the REALTORS® Relief Foundation. You can contribute to by texting HeleneRelief24 to 71777, visiting RRF.realtor, or sending a check. #hurricanehelene #disasterrelief #wncstrong #ncstrong #helpingneighbors

  • Our next Artist Spotlight for Canvas of Hope: Martha Crampton Martha, a native of Raleigh, has always loved art and music. Martha was a medical illustrator in the UNC School of Dentistry for four years. This tapped all the arts… painting, drawing, graphs, charts and photography and was a joy. While raising three daughters in Raleigh, Martha was involved in volunteer work and put her art to one side… family was a priority. Her husband Greg always encouraged her to pursue her art and in 2010, Martha joined Moon Dog Fine Arts with a wonderful group of talented artists and friends. Martha loves the quote, “Art can free your soul” and that truly fits her heart. From illustrator to painter, she enjoys painting with oils, oil and cold wax, acrylics… free, loose, landscapes and abstracts, discovering that sometimes, less can be more. Painting frees her soul and nourishes her creative spirit! 👉This event will have a collection of 20+ works from local artists to raise funds helping women in crisis find stability through immediate employment. • Our next Artist Spotlight for Canvas of Hope: Shade Maret Capturing playful spirit in her paintings is a daily pursuit. Shade uses value, color and light to capture what might be considered an ordinary scene or moment. She tries to suggest, rather than render, pushing color limits when possible. Her hope is to be a good steward of her ability and that her work might somehow uplift or restore others. Her paintings are available at For Your Convenience in Raleigh, One Eleven Main in Southern Pines and Cape Fear Jewelry and Antiques in Wilmington. 👉This event will have a collection of 20+ works from local artists to raise funds helping women in crisis find stability through immediate employment.
