In doing so, we exceeded our clients expectations so much that they invited us to help them to fill an additional 9 roles. 🎯 Challenge: After spending several months trying to fill their Senior DevOps role, they reached out to us because they weren’t able to attract high quality talent. After reviewing their existing process, we identified two key challenges: a low response rate to their outreach messages and low quality sourcing that was not targeting the position needs. 💡 Our Solution: Crafted personalized outreach messaging to attract top-tier Senior DevOps talent. Tailored sourcing strategies to meet specific candidate requirements. Conducted thorough research on salary and benefits to ensure successful candidate negotiations. 📈 The Outcome: Almost immediately we saw an increased response rate from quality candidates! When you are coordinating the questions you are going to ask in an initial interview, it is important to understand the intention behind each of them, as well as determine the type of answer you are hoping to hear. Here are 3 questions we recommend asking in every initial interview: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 2-3 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆? This questions helps you to flesh out if someone will be a cultural fit with your company. For example, they might state they are looking for an organization that provides a great deal of flexibility when it comes to timelines. If you run your projects with hard and fast deadlines, you will know this individual likely won’t enjoy working at your company. 𝗜𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽/𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝘀𝗸: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲? If you get to the offer stage, this question helps you to determine additional benefits you can offer to your top choices, to entice them to select your offer over others. In addition, it will help you to identify the types of things that will motivate this employee. (You’d be surprised how open people are when we ask them this question!) 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 [𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹]. This is a skills based question (obviously) but by framing it in a way that asks them to walk you through their experience vs specifically asking for their number of years of experience, you will gain a deeper insight into how well they know the specific skill they are fleshing out.
