Men, Here's the latest update on our relief efforts in North Carolina. Over the past two days, we’ve been on the phone with teams on the ground, and the devastation we are hearing about is far worse than what we’ve seen on the news or in pictures. Homes have been completely washed away, roads are impassable, and many children and elderly are stranded. Bodies are being recovered at an alarming rate, and conditions are continuing to worsen by the hour. While we don’t have all the answers, we are committed to doing what we can. We are currently assembling teams of 10 men working in 2-3 day rotations, and we plan to begin dispatching on Thursday, October 3, starting at 7 a.m. We will have two meeting points: one in Charlotte and another near Henderson, NC, which leads to the only route into Black Mountain. I know that we all have jobs and businesses to run. This won’t be a quick fix, and we may need rotations of men to step up and serve over the next few months. But I believe that if we answer this call, God will bless our efforts as we step up to render help, offer a cold cup of water in Jesus’ name, and share the hope of Jesus in both word and deed. Whether you’re able to give financially, provide heavy equipment or resources, or be the hands and feet of this relief work, we welcome any help you’re able to provide. Every contribution makes a difference, and together, we can bring much-needed aid and hope to those who are suffering. Finally, this effort isn’t about Red Truck Men or any other organization—it’s about serving those in need and being the hands and feet of Jesus. If your church can organize supplies, our team is ready to deliver and distribute them. And if men from your church are willing to serve, we’d be honored to help commission them into the work. Again, it's not about the RTM name or brand; it is our sincere desire to champion, celebrate and recognize the incredible work of local churches. Men, as you’ve heard, Hurricane Helene has devastated many of our neighboring towns. One of the hardest-hit areas is the mountains of North Carolina. Reports indicate that as many as 44 people have lost their lives, and many more have had their homes washed away. There is a great need for both supplies and assistance. We are asking the brothers of Red Truck Men to consider going to the store and purchasing much-needed supplies for the mountain communities. A list of needed items is provided below. Additionally, we may be organizing a group of men to go and provide hands-on help in the coming days. While we determine whether it's possible to access the mountains and offer direct assistance, we encourage you to invest in purchasing supplies for our friends in need. We will keep you updated on our plans to organize a team to help our neighbors dig out from this terrible situation. Please keep these communities in your prayers, and we will keep you posted. Stephen L. Thomas

The Red Truck Men's Bike Giveaway & Community Picnic at Connie Maxwell Children's Home was a day filled with joy and generosity. 83 bicycles were delivered to the children of Connie Maxwell Children's Ministry in Greenwood, South Carolina, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Red Truck Men and their families. The event was a beautiful display of community spirit, with everyone coming together to ensure the children had a memorable day. The smiles on the children's faces as they received their bikes were priceless, and the picnic that followed was a perfect way to celebrate the bond between the volunteers and the children. This event truly showcased the impact of giving back and the difference it can make in the lives of others.

The Bible is the Word of God. It's more than just a book; it's a life-giving source of divine wisdom, guidance, and encouragement. Regular intake of God's Word is crucial for spiritual growth, providing nourishment for the soul in the same way that food sustains the body. However, many people struggle to consistently engage with Scripture. To help you get started, here are three simple challenges: first, start with the book of John and commit to reading one chapter a day; second, meditate on a single verse and reflect on its meaning for your life; and third, try journaling your thoughts and prayers after each reading session. As you take these small steps, you'll find that the Word becomes more alive and impactful in your daily life. Picking up the Bible can feel daunting, especially if you're unsure where to begin or find the depth of its teachings overwhelming. That's why breakfast can be a great medium for an introduction to studying the Bible - a hearty breakfast and a thoughtful, judgment-free discussion. Each month, a group of men gathers to read a physical copy of God's Word. Together, we explore the text, engage in meaningful conversations, and support one another on our faith journeys. There's no pressure - just a welcoming environment where you can ask questions, grow in your understanding of Scripture, and experience the transformative power of regular Bible intake. I encourage you to take that first step and join
