Calling all pickle ball lovers! This week in the Reeves Young #histoRY spotlight is Cauley Creek Park in Johns Creek. This 203-acre park features four lighted multi-purpose fields—two with artificial turf and two with grass—along with courts for futsal, pickleball, basketball, and volleyball, plus a play area overlooking the fields. The project also includes a 5k staging area with parking, restrooms, and a grassy area for races. Completed in late summer 2023, Cauley Creek Park has doubled the park space in Johns Creek.

This week's #histoRY project is the North Georgia Technical College Industrial Center, a 45,872 SF facility located in Clarkesville, Georgia. The center supports the Heating and Air Conditioning Program, CNC/Machine Tool Program, and offers space for economic development, continuing education, and training for existing businesses and industries. Additionally, it features a catering kitchen and an event center conference room that accommodates around 240 guests in a banquet-style setup. This project proudly earned a Georgia Peach certification, a recognition awarded to state-owned or managed buildings that excel in energy efficiency, promote the use of Georgia-produced materials, enhance environmental quality, conserve energy, protect natural resources, and alleviate pressure on the state's water supply.

Recently, our Heavy Civil team completed a 9-acre substation site package for Georgia Power which includes clearing, grading with roughly 60,000 CY of import, and proper storm drainage. We are proud to be a part of laying down the groundwork for this substation renewal project. #celebratoRY #whyRY

As we continue to coordinate on economic and workforce development efforts, we're proud to have such involved partners through our home county to celebrate this progress.
