Read what panelists are saying about "Drug Delivery From ATK to BTK: What Is on the Horizon?" in the Sept. issue of Endovascular Today. https://lnkd.in/gRBbvQ_i Moderated by Ramon L. Varcoe, MBBS, MS, FRACS, PhD, MMed (ClinEpi), the discussion features Prof. Marianne Brodmann who names the Reflow Spur® Retrievable Scaffold Therapy (RST) among "the most interesting vessel preparation tools, which help especially BTK." Shahil A. Parikh, MD also lists the Spur as one of the "exciting formulations of drug-eluting devices in clinical development today." The latest data on tibial vessel recoil after treatment with Spur® RST is now published in the Journal of Endovascular Therapy (JEVT). The study examined the occurrence and short-term impact of acute vessel recoil in a subset of patients treated with retrievable scaffold therapy (RST) via the Spur Peripheral Retrievable Scaffold System. https://lnkd.in/dYaUkeA The Spur is a self-expanding scaffold with an integrated dilatation balloon catheter designed for controlled penetration and lesion preparation through a series of radially expandable spikes. It creates channels that modify the lesion morphology, decreasing the recoil effect and changing vessel compliance. These channels optimize drug uptake when used with a commercially available drug-coated balloon (DCB). Spur® RST: revolutionary BTK treatment for CLTI in conjunction with a DCB. Learn about the Spur Peripheral Retrievable Scaffold System and Retrievable Scaffold Therapy (RST). https://lnkd.in/g9gW2W4y The Spur System is a self-expanding scaffold with an integrated dilatation balloon catheter designed for controlled penetration and lesion preparation through a series of radially expandable spikes. It creates channels that modify the lesion morphology, decreasing the recoil effect and changing vessel compliance. These channels optimize drug uptake when used with a commercially available drug-coated balloon (DCB). To learn more about clinical outcomes, we invite you to view (free) the CIRSE 2024 Satellite Symposium, "Spur RST: maximizing BTK CLTI treatment outcomes." https://shorturl.at/zSQ0k Intended Use: The Spur is intended to treat de novo or restenotic lesions in the infrapopliteal arteries to prepare the vessel for treatment with a commercially available drug-coated balloon to enhance drug absorption. Refer to the Instructions for Use for a complete listing of the Indications, Contraindications, Warnings, Precautions, Adverse Events, and Procedural Steps. https://lnkd.in/gCDbTi8q #CIRSESociety #interventionalradiology #VI #PAD #CLIfighters #Endovascular #CLTI #SpurRST
