“Is that candy?” - that’s probably our favorite question when people see our Nylog display at the AHR Expo. It’s definitely not candy, please don’t eat it! But it is a sealant that you can use on threads, flares, and gaskets in refrigeration systems. And just a reminder — AHR Expo is in 5 months!

In this new series, we dropped by Refrigeration Technologies founder, John Pastorello’s, office to chat and get some insight into the stories behind our products. In this clip, John shares how the idea for Viper Pan & Drain Treatment came from an unexpected source—anti-soil redeposition technology used in fabric coating. He took that same concept and applied it to develop pan and drain treatment, which coats drain pans, P-traps, and piping, to improve flow and prevent future soil adhesion. Stay tuned for more stories from the man behind the breakthroughs!

Heating things up with Viper WetRag 🔥 Here’s what you should know about WetRag: It’s going to withstand temps over 2000° F and is reusable up to 40 times — grab enough from the container to fully mold it around the pipe surface, be sure there are no gaps between the pipe and putty. Then do your brazing or soldering, remove the putty and place back into the container. The indicator dye will fade as the product wears out.

Time for some Nylog application tips -- You should be applying Nylog in the following ways: On pipe threads, this enhances sealing and prevents leaks. On flares - to the face and seat. This creates a tight seal and prevents binding during torquing. Also works on gaskets and o-rings, as a lubricant. Thanks to Gary McCreadie, Matthew Waxer and the other techs who provided these examples.

It’s one of our favorite colors — Viper Evap+ and Evaporator Venom Pack. Here’s three things to remember when using: It’s a non-rinsing formula designed to remove grease, grime and dirt. The powerful enzymes destroy odors caused by bacterial growth. It’s safe on aluminum, micro-channels, plastics and rubber. Find it near you https://lnkd.in/gqzxZ_Pz
