🌍 Immigration is a key topic in the U.S. today, and understanding the immigrant population is crucial. Did you know that over 47.8 million people in the U.S. are foreign-born? Immigrants make up 14.3% of the population, with 77% holding legal status—whether as citizens, green-card holders, refugees, or long-term visa holders. Many pathways, including family sponsorship and humanitarian protection, lead to permanent residency. As our immigrant population grows more diverse 🌎, it's vital to move beyond stereotypes and foster informed conversations on their invaluable contributions to our society. https://lnkd.in/eTvd2MVq #ImmigrationMatters
