We aim to revolutionize the motorsport industry through digitalization and sustainability building a 0-emission race car

About us

We are a data-driven endurance racing team of 30+ dedicated and hardworking students with the goal of introducing our own zero-emission race car in the industry by 2028. At the moment we are working on our first race car which has the precise aim of making us gain experience in the field and understand how the motorsports industry works. The racing car we are building will be equipped with our own designed racing components which include a brake cooling system, wishbones and we are developing our own floor and diffuser to generate downforce. On top of this, the car will be the first car in our class to have a data-log system which our engineers are fully developing. We are working hard to make our passion future-proof.

Graduated! Last week I graduated for the study Automotive Engineering at the HAN University of Applied Sciences. Last six moths I have been working on a thorough analysis of the aerodynamics of the custom BMW E46 of Regterschot Racing through CFD simulations. Even though having some setbacks (the car crashing a few weeks before testing..), I managed to come up with a new assignment and complete the graduation and study with an 8. I would like to thank Thomas van Ekert and Wijnand Zwart for their supervision throughout this project and Detech Engineering b.v. for making the assignment possible. Above all I want to thank Regterschot Racing for this opportunity and the amazing 1,5 years of projects throughout the study. I will stay part of the racing team in my free time, helping develop their new racecar!

The KIEM project ‘MORE on tires’ will start in August. This project focuses on researching the forces at the tire-road interface. The measurement data will be transmitted wirelessly in real-time via 5G, enabling experts to analyze the data remotely and adjust the measurement plan if necessary. This wireless communication will utilize the system developed by Dana Groner of Regterschot Racing. A proof of principle has already been demonstrated on the MORE vehicle. The Regterschot Racing system will be fully operational by mid-September. #MORE #RegterschotRacing

Last Sunday, we participated in an 8-hour endurance race at Circuit Zandvoort (with the DNRT Nederland). Unfortunately, our race ended prematurely after just a couple of minutes due to a major incident in the Scheivlak corner on lap 2. Despite the early exit, we had high hopes for our newly equipped car, featuring a new exhaust, fuel system, wider body kit, and new tires. While the incident was unfortunate, we see this not as a setback but as an opportunity to improve. The car has sustained significant damage, but we are already working on a plan to get back on track as soon as possible with an even faster car. For more detailed videos and explanations of the incident, follow us on Instagram and other social media platforms. Follow along on our journey! In march I started my graduation thesis! I got asked by Regterschot Racing to analyse the aerodynamics of their BMW E46 with a custom widebody kit and diffuser. I will be doing this analysis with a dual approach combining CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations and real-life testing. The goals is to find out how much drag and downforce (or lift) is currently generated, which improvements can be made in the future, what influence ride height changes have and to set up general testing methods that the team can use in the future. Throughout the project Detech Engineering b.v. will supervise with the help of Thomas van Ekert. Additionally Wijnand Zwart will supervise from the HAN University of Applied Sciences. I am looking forward to the research and to push the aerodynamics of our car! (Photo by Michel Bokhorst)

It is time to upgrade the floor of our race car. the current and first version has been extremely useful in reducing drag and lift and making our car faster, but it also comes with some pains, for example, the long mounting time and the sensitivity. The new version of the floor will be designed by Kasper Morskieft, a student of mechanical engineering at Saxion University of Applied Sciences Enschede, who is doing his minor in Motorsport at Fontys University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with our team. His challenge will be to make the floor easier to mount and more secure. to do this he will focus on creating connections that are not only simpler but also incredibly stable, ensuring our car maintains its competitive edge without compromising on reliability. Leveraging his background, he will integrate design principles to maximize downforce and minimize drag.  His role doesn't end with design. On race weekends, he will work on data acquisition and engineering, fine-tuning setups and providing crucial support for repairs and adjustments. We can’t all wait to see what he will create and test it on our car! - - - #racecar #motorsport #studentteam #minormotorsport

Exactly one week ago we were participating in the first race of the Dutch Racing Trophy. We encountered a rollercoaster of challenges and triumphs throughout the weekend's three main races. With high hopes and a strong determination to win, we raced the first race. The condition of the track was perfect and the sun was shining. We secured a commendable second place, demonstrating our team's skill and preparation. However, the weather took a drastic turn the following day, with heavy rain complicating our strategy. Despite our best efforts, a combination of tire selection and fuel spillage led to a challenging fifth-place finish. Undeterred, we gathered together for the third race, resolving issues and changing to rain tires. Yet, the unexpected obstacle of a fuel leakage caused the marshals to retire our car just 8 minutes before the end of the race, just as we were fighting for second place. Nevertheless, we view this debut sprint race as a valuable learning experience. The insights gained from both sunny and wet conditions provide invaluable data for future improvements. Moving forward, we're committed to addressing the fuel leak issue and optimizing our car's design. A heartfelt thank you to our driver Sergey Kuks for his performance and to our sponsors for their unwavering support. Stay tuned for updates as we get ready for the next chapter in the Dutch Racing Trophy. Over the past several months, our team has been hard at work preparing for the Dutch Racing Trophy after our last endurance race. We've encountered numerous challenges along the way, but each of those only made us want to work harder and prove ourselves. Our race car has undergone significant modifications, notably with the addition of a new, wider body kit, a floor diffuser, and a composite hood and trunk, resulting in remarkable performance enhancements. Just this Monday, during our final test day, we achieved an impressive lap time of 1:58.9 - a whopping 6.5 seconds faster than our previous race. Every adjustment has translated into tangible improvements on the track, reaffirming our team's growth and adaptability. For us, every race day signifies a triumph, as it emphasizes our commitment to constant evolution and learning. Empowering people to explore new possibilities and overcome their limits is one of our main goals. Witnessing our hard work on the racetrack brings unique satisfaction. Even with the excitement of racing, the friendship within our team is the best part. This would not have been possible without the help of our sponsors who have been helping us along the way: Profoto | SignSellers | Cerakote.nl | Autoschadeherstel Academy | van Wees UD and Crossply Technology | De Jong Engine Performance | ECU Master | RS Benelux | 77 Lubricants | Bogijn Automotive | RJ Lastechniek | VIRO | Detech Engineering b.v. | So let’s get everything ready and see you tomorrow on track! - - - #motorsport #race #teamwork
