I had the pleasure of participating in a panel discussion at the Africa Food Systems Forum held in Kigali, Rwanda. The mission of the forum is to influence and inform the world of meeting the challenge for embracing new technologies. Amidst ongoing changes, investing in sustainable food systems is paramount. When multiple businesses collaborate to support a common goal, the collective efforts will be most effective in achieving the desired objectives.

The annual Reinke family picnic started at 8 am with fun activities for the kids, which included inflatables, fishing tournament and face painting, to name a few. The adults had their own enjoyment participating in clay trap shooting or the horse shoe throwing contest. A noon picnic was held in the park and a catered meal in the evening at the fairgrounds. Bingo and a private pool party in the city park were held in between the meals. In the evening, a free concert for the public was held in the grandstands to close out the event. Families had an enjoyable day of activities, good food and socializing.
