We were happy to host Texas A&M University former students Dude Perfect earlier this summer as they attempted to bowl the world's longest strike using one of our runways as a bowling lane. Watch Dude Perfect's longest trick shots ever to see the shot, with the segment filmed at RELLIS starting at the 17:16 mark.

Did you know that RELLIS is home to the Starlab, a state-of-the-art motion capture and virtual production facility? The lab, part of Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES), was founded by University Distinguished Professor Dr. James Hubbard in 1999 with funding from the Governor’s University Research Initiative and the Chancellor’s Research Initiative. The lab's work focuses on emerging technologies like virtual and augmented reality, smart system design and autonomous vehicles. Thank you for visiting us, Secretary Kendall!
We welcomed Secretary of the United States Air Force Frank Kendall to Aggieland yesterday. Secretary Kendall toured labs near Easterwood Airport and at the George H.W. Bush Combat Development Complex at our Texas A&M-RELLIS Campus, where he was briefed on the work the A&M System is doing hypersonic systems, laser technologies, space exploration, and more. He also had breakfast with Texas A&M President Mark A. Welsh III and visited with Texas A&M University graduate and undergraduate students throughout the day, including members of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets. Thank you for visiting the A&M System, Secretary Kendall!

We are looking forward to having this new center and its capabilities at RELLIS!
We broke ground today on the new STEM Education Center at Texas A&M-RELLIS. This new project is designed to encourage students to take hands-on approaches to learning and will have a machine shop, wood shop, makerspaces, augmented reality simulation areas, and more. The $43.4 million project will also offer shared spaces for students to collaborate with scientists and industry professionals from all eight of the A&M System's state agencies.
