About us
RenewAire has been manufacturing energy recovery ventilators (ERVs) and dedicated outdoor air systems (DOAS) for over 40 years. Providing the built environment with healthy indoor air has always been important, as it can affect occupant health, cognitive function and productivity. However, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, cognizant authorities recommended increasing ventilation indoors as a mitigation strategy, noting that increased ventilation is associated to reduced viral spread. RenewAire’s energy recovery ventilation can help buildings increase ventilation rates indoors without raising facilities costs (dropping costs up to 65%). How? Our energy-efficient ERVs recover otherwise-wasted total energy to precondition outdoor air that is coming inside. This means that in the winter, the cold, dry outside air is preheated and humidified by the outgoing warm interior air. Conversely, in the summertime, the warm incoming air is pre-cooled and dehumidified by the cool, exiting exhaust air. Based in Madison, Wisconsin, we’re committed to sustainability and environmentalism (our facility has three Green Globes, LEED Gold and ENERGY STAR certifications).

#ShoutOut to our friends at RUSSELL SIGLER INC and Danko Mechanical Sales Company for driving our #Ventilation Solutions Vehicle all across Southern California this week. Thanks for sharing how our ERVs can save #Energy while providing increased ventilation for optimal #Health and #Wellness. #SoCal #HVAC #IAQ
The west region RenewAire Ventilation Solutions Vehicle (VSV) tour continued this week in Southern California! A HUGE shout out to our tremendous partners Sigler Wholesale Group and our Rep Agency DANKO Mechanical Sales! We started out at the ASHRAE Orange County golf event! Traveling LA to San Diego, Ontario and Anaheim, CA we had eight events in three days training approximately 125 engineers, mechanical contractors, Sigler engineers and contractor sales team on our RenewAire ERV’s! Our next destination Phoenix, AZ market week of October 21st!

As energy-efficient buildings get tighter to seal out weather, they can seal in contaminants, causing deficient #IndoorAirQuality (#IAQ). Typical household contaminants include carpet, furniture, humidity, mold, and odors from cooking and cleaning. Deficient IAQ can have detrimental impacts on our health and well-being. Reduce air contaminants with increased #Ventilation via a #RenewAire #EnergyRecovery ventilator (#ERV). Learn more: https://ow.ly/sfKk50TJ3Ls #NationalIndoorAirQualityMonth

HRV stands for heat recovery ventilation. HRVs are similar to energy recovery ventilators (ERVs), but there are some key differences between the two systems. HRVs are prone to condensation and require drain pans. ERVs can be installed in multiple orientations whereas HRVs cannot be installed in any orientation due to their drain pans. Additionally, HRVs must go through an active defrost, which limits ventilation potential. Finally, ERVs can be installed in any climate; HRVs can only be installed in Nordic climates. #ERV #Ventilation #HVAC

Energy recovery ventilators (#ERVs) are #HVAC systems that transfer energy between two airstreams. This energy transfer helps to preheat incoming air in the winter months while it cools the incoming air in the summer. 🎈Happy #Workiversary to Robin Lease! 🎈 From building our #ERVs on the #Production to scheduling on the #Operations team, Robin has seen it all and done it all in her 20 years at RenewAire. Currently, she is an all-star #SupplyChain Specialist in our Purchasing department, where she uses her "team-first mentality to make sure the job gets done!" #ThankYou Robin for being such an amazing teammate! And, #Congratulations on your anniversary!

Last Friday, we had an amazing day at the NSW Training Facility in Hayward with the Ventilation Solution Vehicle (VSV), where 75 attendees enjoyed the beautiful weather and delicious #Tacos and quesadillas while learning about RenewAire’s energy recovery ventilators (ERVs). Thanks to Norman S. Wright Mechanical Equipment Corporation Wright and RJA Group for helping us cruise the West Coast! We’ve made stops in #Seattle, #Portland, and Northern California, training engineers and mechanical contractors on how ERVs increase ventilation to improve indoor air quality (IAQ). Thanks, Norman S. Wright and RJA Group, for being such amazing partners. Now, the VSV is off to SoCal!

🎶Reunited, and it feels so good 🎶 Today, we were thrilled to #WelcomeBack our founders, Chuck Gates and Doug Steege. We gave them a tour of our new Dane facility, shared our latest advancements in #EnergyRecovery products, and listened to them, as they shared their experiences and perspectives on the #ERV marketplace. #ThankYou Chuck and Doug for taking the time to visit with us! We loved catching up with you!

#ICYMI University of Toronto and Health Canada | Santé Canada recently identified the source of indoor air pollution in the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) subway system. An option they suggested to improve the indoor air quality (IAQ) was to increase ventilation. #LearnMore: https://bit.ly/3XCHceb
