Had a great time this week at the Parks Associates Smart Energy Summit sharing perspectives on how product and service design can help us bring simpler and more helpful savings and energy management to customers.  ⚡ Everyone in this industry contributes critical pieces to the broader energy service journey that customers experience each day. We need to work together to make it simple for customers to take more control of their energy use. ⚡ Personalized energy automations aren’t an option - they are now what customers expect and offer the path to broader adoption of thoughtful energy features. ⚡ We have to provide value for customers over the long term and evidence that value along the way, because these are long term relationships we’re creating. The future of energy is here. Now it’s on us to make it effortless.

It was a pleasure to take the stage at #AESPAnnual to talk about the future of VPPs. My takeaways? ⚡ Customers come first. We have new ways to help them save and shift their energy use at home, but it has to be simple if we expect them to participate. And they need to see real, ongoing value. ⚡ We know VPPs are real, but it's our responsibility to prove it. We need to anchor the industry around new, better methods of measurement like randomized control trials. ⚡ VPPs are at scale now. Let’s put them to work.
