Today’s the day! HAPPY JUNETEENTH and welcome to the 3rd Edition of the Reparations Race! To our US Black Community, we wish you a glorious day of rest, celebration and fellowship. At The Reparations Race, we use this holiday as a bridge to the diaspora. Beyond our mission to raise awareness and educate the masses on the importance of community-led micro reparations as we commemorate the legacy of freedom, perseverance, art and innovation of the Global Black Community. We acknowledge the sacrifice and honor the memory of our ancestors and elders. Their wisdom is our solace, their stories our guide. Let today be more than just a day to remember, but a day to pick up where they left off. As our Ancestors Fannie Lou Hamer once said, “No one is free until everybody is free.” Let the fight for equity, racial healing and restorative economic justice continue.
