Revolut: The Crowdfunders Who Cashed Out For 49x Returns OVER 1400 SHAREHOLDERS CASHED OUT I recently posted about how Revolut’s $45bn meant that Crowdcube shareholders are now sitting on a 40,000% return. There was a lot of pushback to the post by people stating that these were only “paper returns” and that it doesn't mean anything until there’s been a liquidity event. HOWEVER Revolut also enabled crowdfunders to buy in at their Series B through R Europe (formerly Seedrs), at a share price of £8.57. £3.8m was raised from over 4,200 investors. These investors have been, and are still able to, realise liquidity from their shares via the Republic Europe Secondary Market by selling to other existing Revolut shareholders. To date: 🚀 Over 1,445 unique users have sold their shares 🚀 6,055 shares have been sold 🚀 Making an average return of +635.93% However if you look at the secondary market you can see that some shares have sold for £430 - a whopping 49x return. Revolut’s latest share price means that any R Europe shareholders who didn’t sell are sitting on a 78x return. Amazing stuff, and shoutout to R Europe for sharing their data!
