Q3 was our busiest quarter yet, and we don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. Last week, the Ugandan High Court sentenced the defendant accused of aggravated defilement of an 11-year-old child to 17 years in prison. ⚖️ The court’s verdict is a victory for many, including the courageous child who boldly testified in court, our Rubaga Community Action Team who worked on this case, the state prosecutor, and every supporter who makes our work possible. Today our team met with secondary school students in Wakiso District, #Uganda, to provide them with sexual violence prevention training. We are always surprised by how engaged the students are and by how many come up to us afterward for advice.
