Through its Single-Family Green Mortgage-Backed Securities (Green MBS) program, Freddie Mac offers incentives to mortgage lenders for high-energy performance homes. Fannie Mae, in conjunction with Freddie Mac, is implementing several enhancements to its Single-Family mortgage-backed securities (MBS) disclosures including water efficiency certification. This includes the EPA WaterSense verification RESNET serves as a WaterSense Home Certification Organization (HCO), and HERSH2O® is recognized as a WaterSense Approved Certification Methodology. https://lnkd.in/eQwZHQaW
