At the Electronics Sustainability Summit, hosted by Sustainable Electronics Recycling International (SERI), the RBA spoke on a panel titled “A Roadmap to Recycling in the Battery Age.” The RBA and the Recycled Materials Association (ReMA) presented their respective roadmaps to achieve more circular material flows, and discussed how the organizations could work together to promote data sharing and design for recycling programs. The RBA’s Circular Material Landscape Assessment report, which will be updated in November, was also highlighted. The RBA's Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) invites members, partners, and other stakeholders to participate in a public consultation on the draft revision of the RMI's ESG Standard. The consultation period is open until December 8, 2024. As new regulations like the EU Battery Regulation, EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, and the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act come into effect, external feedback is essential in aligning the revised RMI ESG Standard with industry priorities.
