Beck Sullivan (Interim President) and Lenore Schaffer (Director of Economic Empowerment) attended the American Hotel and Lodging Association's (AHLA) No Room for Trafficking Summit on July 30 in Washington, DC - a forum where travel industry leaders came together with the public and private sectors and spoke on emerging trends and areas of innovation to continue efforts to support survivors and eradicate human trafficking. Restore NYC is one of the organizations who were awarded from AHLA's No Room for Trafficking Fund - a Survivor Fund that will equip community-based organizations with the resources they need to engage and support survivors. We are proud that Lenore participated in the Advisory Council Panel and Beck received the award on behalf of Restore. We are thankful to walk alongside AHLA and these great organizations to provide employment and training opportunities to survivors overcoming trafficking.

We are partnering with Impact Rising and HEAL Trafficking to launch The State of Impact (TSOI) survey, a first-of-its-kind initiative aimed at transforming impact evaluation in the anti-trafficking sector. This 10-year project will help determine how our sector measures outcomes and catalyze our collective efforts toward becoming more impact-oriented. To conclude our #MayIsForMothers Campaign and raise awareness for trafficking victims in NYC, Restore hosted the inaugural Freedom Garden during the first week of June. A huge thank you to Citi for joining us and, alongside our network of partners, helping plant 26,000 flowers to represent the 26,000 trafficking victims in NYC. This work would not have been possible without Shimonah Israel and the incredible team of volunteers from Citi. Shimonah, thank you for conceiving this idea and for being such an incredible partner in making freedom a reality for trafficking survivors!

With 1 week to go in the #MayIsForMothers Campaign, we are just $18,000 away from reaching our $200K goal. Hitting that goal means unlocking the full $100K match for a $300K campaign result to provide mothers with housing, counseling, job-readiness, and entrepreneurship training. Thank you to all the friends, partners, and advocates who have shown their support so far! Your support for mothers who are pursuing their goals of permanent freedom helps to end an intergenerational cycle of trafficking, and creates a cycle of flourishing. Will you consider sharing the campaign or making a gift that could put us over the finish line? Your support is matched and goes twice as far through 5/31. https://lnkd.in/dsQ2XES4 Thank you for helping make freedom real, and check out our video highlighting a donor and a staff of Restore sharing on why they support mothers overcoming trafficking.

As we prepare to celebrate mothers across the nation this weekend, we are reminded of the unimaginable reality facing mothers overcoming trafficking. When mothers face housing insecurity, homelessness, or financial devastation, traffickers exploit the urgency they feel to provide stability for their children. When a mother is trafficked, a family is devastated. Your support over the past year, has allowed Restore to serve 136 parents caring for 281 children (both here in NYC and abroad). As we look forward to this Mother's Day we are asking you to come alongside these brave women who are fighting for freedom not only for themselves, but for their children. You can help break the cycle of exploitation in families TODAY! To learn more and support mothers exiting trafficking today, click this #MayIsForMothers link https://lnkd.in/dsQ2XES4

When a mother is trafficked a family is devastated. Almost 70% of the survivors of trafficking served in Restore's core programs are mothers. They are fighting for their freedom and for the freedom of their children. This May, Restore is launching our #MayIsForMothers campaign to come alongside these incredible mothers who are overcoming unimaginable circumstances. As a community if we raise $200,000 we will unlock a $100,000 match from generous donors that will allow us to provide $300,000 to support survivors overcoming trafficking. Will you make a gift today in honor of someone special in your life? Click here for more information and to give today! https://lnkd.in/dsQ2XES4
