What a great experience and energy at Groceryshop! It was a pleasure to discuss Ahold Delhaize’s vision for the future of grocery retail with CNBC’s Melissa Repko. During our conversation, I shared insights into our Growing Together strategy, which was launched earlier this year. We discussed the pivotal role of technology, AI and GenAI and how our 16 great local brands are integrating these innovations to continuously improve the customer experience. We also talked about how our brands are creating relevant, personalized experiences for their customers through our loyalty programs, and through Retail Media. Having set an aggressive target of 45% private brand food sales in 2028, we dived into this topic as well. Private brands are becoming increasingly important, as customers are looking for quality, value and healthier options. At the same time I underscored that the right category mix of private brands and national brands will in the end drive the best customer proposition.
