What an amazing #WOWMoment for Ms. Olive, one of Elancé at West End's 6th-floor penthouse residents! 🤩 💃🏼
Ms. Olive worked for several years in the entertainment industry as an acrobatic dancer! She began dancing lessons at the age of 7, and luckily had parents who not only recognized her natural talent, but supported her morally and financially through lessons, recitals, and so much more.
Fast forward to her post-high school years and Ms. Olive is traveling the country with her dance partner, often fondly referred to as the "Acro-Beauties." Ms. Olive had the opportunity to work with many big acts including Abbott and Costello and the Andrews Sisters. She also loves to recall the night she worked the opening of the original Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino while it was under the watchful eye of Bugsy Siegel.
After learning about this incredible life Ms. Olive lived all before the age of 30, Elancé at West End knew they needed to find a way to celebrate and honor all she did. Queue Amanda Finch with Down To Earth Aerials! Amanda studied aerial acrobatics with the Cirque du Soleil school in Canada and now runs her own aerial entertainment company, Down To Earth Aerials. The world of acrobats is incredibly small and niche, so it's not every day a current aerialist gets to meet an acrobatic dancer who is turning 97 later this year!
Amanda Finch curated a personalized show for Ms. Olive and drew upon real costumes, songs, and routines Ms. Olive used in her career. They invited Ms. Olive, her family, and friends to their community on May 22nd for a delicious Taste of RUI meal and a live show with Down To Earth Aerials on their outdoor terrace afterward.❤️ 💫
