Reuse Seattle brings reusable food and beverage container solutions to Seattle businesses for a waste-free future.

About us

Reuse Seattle brings reusable food and beverage container solutions to Seattle businesses for a waste-free future. We envision a network of reuse systems for food and beverage containers at Seattle institutions, venues, businesses, and communities. By creating systems of collection, transportation, washing and digital infrastructures, we’re working to making reuse convenient and accessible across our community. Reuse Seattle is a City of Seattle initiative led by Seattle Public Utilities and the Office of Economic Development, with implementation supported by Cascadia Consulting Group, Blue Daisi, and PR3.

Happy Tuesday Reuse-day! Today, we are highlighting Diaspora Cafe's commitment to sustainability and deepening relationships with "the communities, cultures, lands and waters around us". Yesterday, Diaspora Cafe launched their reusable dishware at the 2024 Citywide Indigenous Peoples Celebration. With the help of our Reuse Seattle Incentive Program, they provided delicious soups and drinks in reusable bowls and cups! We are especially excited to see them incorporate reuse while uplifting Indigenous cultures and communities at this inspiring event. We are appreciative of businesses like Diaspora Cafe who do their part to not only reduce waste but also celebrate and honor Indigenous cultures and traditions.
