"Launch"—it's a word that symbolizes hope and hard work. A successful launch is pivotal, as it sets the trajectory for everything that follows. Two years ago, I launched REV Alliances to help ISVs accelerate their sales and go-to-market efforts with Microsoft. After leading an ISV to become Microsoft's #1 co-sell partner world-wide 🥵, I knew it was time to build my own practice and help others. Four years of experience working across Microsoft's product and sales teams helped me develop a partnership methodology that truly works. Just last week, my husband and I "launched" our two sons off to college. They worked hard and earned the exciting opportunities ahead of them. As a parent, I'm proud to say they are both ready for this! As for me, I'll have to get back to you on that. Here's what I've learned about a successful launch, whether personal or professional: 🎯 Focus on the 1-2 most important elements and build a plan around them. The more you add, the more likely you are to become distracted and fail to launch. 👯♀️ Don't go it alone - Surround yourself with people and resources who won't just help you reach your goals but who will cheer for you along the way. 📈 Define success early and measure progress constantly. 🕺 Celebrate your wins along the way. The journey is as important as the destination. I love holiday traditions! They are the thread that helps us keep the past alive in our celebrations today. One of my favorites is holiday baking. My grandmother taught me and I’ve been blessed to be able to pass the experience down to my sons. From sneaking a taste of dough to sharing stories like “remember that time when…”, to packing up plates for neighbors and friends, Christmas wouldn’t be the same without this treasured tradition.
