Are you worried about getting displaced by AI? Look—there's no doubt AI is disrupting agencies and professional services firms. I'd be lying if is said it's a giant nothing burger. But here's the thing: we've always had to deal with disruption. Think about it... TV comes along and "Oh, my God! Advertising in print is going to die!" Email comes along and "Oh, my God! 'Traditional' is going to die!" Social Media comes along and "Oh, my God! Email is going to die!" AI comes along and ... you get the point. If you want to survive any period of disruption, you must elevate what you place value on. Most are placing value on their "hands." That is, the "service" they're really good at. Instead, I want you to place value on the "transformation" you provide. Transformation is about the outcome and impact of what you do. Instead of... "we do digital marketing"... and even instead of "we do lead-gen"... how about "We give you a content machine that gets ideal prospects to practically beg for an appointment on your sales team's calendar." This is transformation. And once the tactics of that transformation get "disrupted," fine. If you've obsessed about the transformation all along, you will be the firm doing the disruption.
