  • Medicare Advantage is becoming a hospital killer. As insurance payer profits soar, so does the number of hospitals closing their doors.   Check out the latest article by our CEO Mark Craig, published in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, based on research conducted by Write-Off Warrior.

Our recent hospital survey research has led to the publication of this article in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. It highlights the unfortunate yet unsurprising reality of a healthcare system deliberately structured to inflate insurance profits, while rural hospitals are driven to the brink and patients are left stranded. But giving up is not an option. Check out our latest blog post to learn how to fight back: https://lnkd.in/ep_6gmVm

  • Looking forward to our CEO, Mark Craig, presenting tomorrow at the HomeTown Health, LLC Annual Fall Conference! He’ll discuss the many challenges rural hospitals face due to deceitful payer practices, and offer strategies to overcome them. Armed with insightful new data from rural hospital leaders, he’ll also share how we can push for much-needed, meaningful change in healthcare.

Championing Healthcare Providers in Their Fight Against Insurance Payers

Excited to speak at the HomeTown Health Fall Conference tomorrow! I’ll be addressing how harmful payment systems, like Medicare Advantage, are creating real threats to rural hospitals and their communities. These predatory systems pit patients against providers, leaving both to fight for care and resources in a system designed for corporate profits. I’ll also be sharing new data, recently compiled by Write-off Warrior, that reveals just how deeply this problem affects rural hospitals, along with strategies that they can use right now to fight back. Looking forward to the conversations ahead, and grateful to HomeTown Health, LLC for the opportunity to share this critical info. https://lnkd.in/erC_-Dt7

This is exactly why we fight for transparency and fairness in dealing with insurance payers. Payers’ dirty tricks, like ghost networks, hurt both patients and providers. It’s time we expose these practices and push for real payer reform.

Championing Healthcare Providers in Their Fight Against Insurance Payers

Exposing the Truth Behind "Ghost Networks" - A Must-Read ProPublica Article   Private Health Insurers have one priority: PROFITS. In their relentless pursuit of squeezing every penny, they’ve resorted to creating misleading "Ghost Networks"—lists of supposed in-network medical providers who, in reality, are often retired, out of practice, or no longer in-network.   Why does this happen? Because insurance payers make it so difficult for healthcare providers to get reimbursed that many simply give up and leave. The result is that patients, already facing the stress of seeking care, are left navigating a maze of inaccurate information and unavailable providers.   This is an intentional strategy to cut costs at the expense of the very people they claim to serve—patients and providers alike.   It's time to demand accountability and transparency from insurance payers. Read ProPublica's eye-opening article and join the fight for a fairer system that prioritizes patients over insurance payer profits. https://lnkd.in/eJy9MHfV

At Revenue Cycle Associates, not only do we deeply enjoy working together to help our clients achieve their goals, but we also cherish moments that allow us to bond and celebrate as a team. This month, in the spirit of Halloween, we had a special celebration where the Scooby Doo gang made an appearance! On the menu? Delicious Scooby snacks, of course!   It wasn't just about the spooky festivities, though. We also took this opportunity to recognize and honor our new hires, those celebrating birthdays and work anniversaries, and other personal milestones within our family. It's moments like these that remind us of the strength, unity, and commitment we share, not just towards our clients, but towards each other.   Cheers to many more memorable lunches and to our ever-growing Revenue Cycle Associates family!
