That’s a wrap for #SF TECH WEEK by a16z! Revere hosted events with partners like YPO, Omni Ventures, Republic / Republic Ventures, Citizens Private Bank, J.P. Thoughts: 🤖 #AI, #AI, #AI, #AI and more #AI. Better get ready, the next 18-24 months are going to be interesting. Forget $157bn valuation rounds, co-pilots and basic models...watch out for autonomous agents (employees) doing everything in knowledge-based work (~60% of the workforce), next-gen AI healthcare diagnostic tools, new VC #emergingmanager launches and so on... 🌎 #Familyoffices, #startups (80% AI), #corporations and others turned out en masse, as we met folks from all over the world. We alone hosted about 25 international family offices and corporates at our #TacoTuesday and #LP Lunch & Learn. Anecdotal, maybe, but #SiliconValley remains the beating heart ❤️ of global venture capital and technology innovation. 💯 Kudos to those who actually showed up to the events when they signed up. Organizers mentioned they saw 70-80% attrition rates at some events. That said, we have to hand it to Rose Johnson, Katia Ameri, and the entire team at TECH WEEK by a16z and Andreessen Horowitz for pulling all this together and coordinating the thousands of events, side events, meetups, etc. They prob won't see this (as they're busy with LA next week lol), but bravo! It was a pleasure to host an ACG San Francisco roundtable on geopolitical impacts and investment strategies across Asia, with a focus on Singapore. LouAnn Conner moderated the panel and highlighted Singapore’s strong international trade links, cultural diversity, and ease of doing business. Marsha Vande Berg emphasized Singapore’s resilience amidst geopolitical tensions, citing its stable government, low corporate taxes, and robust infrastructure. Chris Shen highlighted the influx of capital from mainland China and Singapore’s growing regional significance.
