Twenty-Two Years, One Chisel: A Testament to Resilience Today we bring you the story of a great man whose unwavering confidence helped him achieve something no one could have ever dreamt of! It is the story of Dashrath Manjhi, popularly known as The Mountain Man 🏔 Born in the 1930s in Bihar, Manjhi belonged to one of the marginalised communities. He was an impoverished labourer married to Falgun Devi. 👷♂️ His life's turning point came when his wife died after being unable to reach the hospital on time because they had to detour around a mountain between their village and the nearest town with a hospital. 🏥 What next? With a chisel and hammer in his hand, he took on the extraordinary task of carving a path through the mountain. 🔨 Annoying laughs, constant mockery from the villagers, harsh weather conditions, and lack of adequate equipment couldn't break Manjhi's determination. After 22 years of hard work, he was able to carve a 110-meter-long road through the mountain. 🛣 Today only because of Manjhi’s work which was once called out as his madness, many people get to the hospital on time. Manjhi's work is not just a physical feat but a symbol of the human capacity to overcome immense obstacles. He is a living example of how even mountains can be moved with dedication and resilience ⭐
