Our Chicago Region Trade Marketing team recently came together with supporting Strategic Accounts and Brand Marketing colleagues to assemble 60 care packages donated to close by Wisconsin veterans through the Sheboygan Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) location, committed to connecting and supporting veterans in the area. A great example of teamwork and community commitment! Joshua Rzepecki, Senior Director of the Chicago Region, spoke to his team’s meaningful participation in the event. He says, “Being a veteran myself and part of the Veterans Employee Resource Group at Reynolds, I have a special connection with the causes and charities that support this area and enjoyed being able to activate my team for such a great cause. Hearing from the local chapter about how our activities will benefit those in need truly resonated with the group. The Chicago Region looks forward to continuing to support veterans and other organizations to make a positive impact in our area.” #ReynoldsAmerican #CommunityGiving

Starting at the end of the month, retailers across the country will need to check photo IDs of adult nicotine consumers under 30, as part of the FDA’s finalization of a rule raising the minimum age for tobacco sales to 21, measures that we have long supported. At Reynolds, we are committed to preventing those under 21 from accessing tobacco, vapor and nicotine products. Nearly 94% of our retailers are covered through Retail Marketing Plan Contracts, which already require our retailers to implement and monitor age restrictions on the sale of tobacco and nicotine products by conducting age verification at point-of-sale to verify that sales occur only to those of legal age. This recent effort supports our position: we do not want our products in the hands of underage individuals. Period. Last week, our Women’s Employee Resource Group (ERG) hosted its second annual Pink Couch event with REACH Women's Network at our downtown Winston-Salem, NC headquarters building. This year’s interactive event focused on the theme “When Everyone Leads,” inspired by the book of the same name by panelist moderator and keynote guest Julia Fabris McBride. Featuring internal and external speakers, the panelists shared diverse perspectives from various levels and industries, driving home the power of seizing opportunities and inspiring others to do the same. A special thanks to our own Valerie Mras, Senior Vice President of Vapor Brands and Adi Trbonja, Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, as well as Portia Mount, Founder of Mount Creative, LLC, Inge Smith, Director of Communications for Verger Capital Management and Julia Fabris McBride, Chief Civic Leadership Development Officer at the Kansas Leadership Center for joining the Women’s ERG for this outstanding event! #ReynoldsAmerican #PinkCouch

What a difference a year makes! Last summer, we announced plans to construct the Reynolds WaterHub, a water reclamation plant on-site at the Reynolds Operations Center in Tobaccoville, NC in partnership with NextEra Energy Resources. Construction is on track to be complete by the end of the year and once operational, the facility is expected to collect and reclaim more than 60 million gallons of water from the factory a year, equivalent to the annual water supply of approximately 550 average U.S. households. We’re excited to share an update on the construction underway. Pictured above is the WaterHub site today versus the site in Summer 2023. A huge round of applause to the Operations team leading the project including Cherise Mbaye, Senior Director of Operations Skills Development Project, Daniel Tomazella, Director of Sustainability, Steven Jones, PE, PLS, Director of Project Engineering, Bernd Meyer, Executive Vice President of Operations and Gary Noble, Vice President of Manufacturing. #ReynoldsAmerican #EnvironmentalExcellence

Our Trade Marketing team recently hit an impressive milestone and Jordan Ekers, a Territory Manager in West Virginia, was one of our sales superstars who played a key role in helping the team in their achievement. Jordan is known for his exceptional people skills and ability to build strong relationships with his clients through earned trust and credibility. When we asked him what his most important takeaway is from this year, he said, “Everybody in the company is willing to help. I am not always the best at asking for help, especially from people higher up in the company. However, this initiative showed me how willing and able everyone within the company is to support one another. There was not a single coworker I asked for help who didn’t do everything they could to assist me.” #ReynoldsAmerican #BAT

Jacy Benoit, Territory Manager in Louisiana, is one of our sales rockstars who has played a major role in helping the team achieve a recent milestone by consistently exceeding her goals, building strong relationships, and driving growth in her region. We asked Jacy how she maintained momentum and motivation throughout the year. She says, “My biggest motivation was my Division Manager, Brian Seth Mouton, and my team, the Shreveport Division. I came back from maternity leave in early April and knew my focus and priority. It’s no secret that my team set me up for success. I owed it to them to continue the success.” #ReynoldsAmerican #BAT
