Recently, Ria Senegal successfully organized a one-day event to observe Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the Dakar office, raising awareness about the disease and its early detection, as well as highlighting the importance of staying healthy. Nurses were present throughout the day, offering voluntary breast cancer screenings to those employees willing to take part. The screenings were discreet and handled with utmost care, ensuring comfort and privacy for all those involved. The event was a reminder to everyone that their health is a top priority, and Ria hopes to continue organizing similar health-focused initiatives in the future across our offices. #riamoneytransfer #senegal #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth

Earlier in October, a team of Ria employees, including leaders Rosario Escarpita and Jose Cabral, traveled to Mexico to witness firsthand the Early Childhood Education project, a joint initiative that provides local children with a supportive space to learn and thrive.   As part of the visit, the team accompanied partners Save The Children Foundation and Save the Children México to the Xochiquetzal II and Xochipilli Vikamiga community child development centers (CCDICs) near Mexico City to spend some all-important time with the kids.   “Lots of children were simply delighted just to see our friendly faces and bright orange clothes,” recalled Global Comms & PR Manager Maria Adriana Colella.   Later, the team proceeded to further raise the kids’ spirits by handing out school supplies. Combined with the project’s booklets, the children were then able to fully express their literacy skills as well as their creative talent and boundless imagination. Ria customers in El Salvador raised an important US$40,000 for Fundación Teletón El Salvador, a non-profit organization that seeks the integral rehabilitation of people with physical disabilities for their full incorporation into society. Last week, a dozen Ria employees proudly presented a check with the collected money to the foundation. "Thanks to the commitment of our TeleRia team and the generosity of our customers around the world, we have been able to support Fundación Teletón in its valuable work with a donation of US$40k," said Gabriela Díaz, Market Development Team Lead for Ria El Salvador. "Together, we continue to make a difference to support Salvadoran families undergoing rehabilitation." Back in March, Ria announced the sponsorship of Inter Academy Chile, a collaboration with Italian football team FC Internazionale Milano. The initiative sought to provide children with permanent spaces to learn and develop physical and emotional skills under the professional guidance of Inter's trainers. Ria deepened this commitment by teaming up with local charity Fundación Gol de Oro to provide 15 kids with academy scholarships, opening the doors to access crucial education.
