Richmond County Economic Development is governed by a seven-member Board of Commissioners & utilizes a non-profit REDC to recruit & expand business in Richmond County Located in the southern Piedmont of North Carolina, Richmond County offers businesses and residents easy access to the very best the state has to offer. Interstates 73 and 74 serve as the main transportation arteries to major metros, the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. Closer to home, and just minutes away, is the fabled Village of Pinehurst, which hosted the US Open Golf Championship in 2024. Racing fans are sure to know Richmond County's most visited tourist destination, Rockingham Motor Speedway—more commonly known as "The Rock."
