About us
The Richmond Flying Squirrels Baseball Club is a minor league baseball team in Richmond, Virginia. The team participates in the Eastern League, and is the Double-A affiliate of the 2010/2012/2014 World Champion San Francisco Giants, and plays at The Diamond. The Flying Squirrels front office staff is dedicated to making your experience at The Diamond the best that it can be. This hard-working crew is here, around the clock, to provide anything you might need. We are actively involved in education and youth development through programs like Go Nuts for Reading, Score an A Score a Ticket, and an annual Art Contest. These FREE activities are designed to reward hard work and creativity for school children throughout the region. Additionally, Flying Squirrels Charities is a non-profit, 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to improving lives in the Richmond community. Launched in 2014, it focused on "Renovating Richmond's Recreation" - a community project designed to renovate youth baseball facilities. In collaboration with the City of Richmond, we identified youth fields most in need of assistance within the community, which were enhanced to make each area a welcoming space to learn and play baseball. Funds are raised through events during the year including the Dinner on the Infield, Have FUNN Go Putt and Nutzy's Block Party. Flying Squirrels Charities has the unique ability to connect the team brand with the Greater Richmond community in an effort to optimize results through funn and versatile fundraising campaigns. Our front office is located at The Diamond off the Boulevard (near the digital marquee sign). The front office is open M-F 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. The non-gameday Box Office is also in the front office and is open M-F 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. as well as on Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. (through end of season). On Saturday, Flying Squirrels infielders Will Wilson and Dilan Rosario as well as pitchers John Michael Bertrand and Tyler Myrick spent time at the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation 5K and Fun Walk at The Diamond in support of the families across Virginia who are battling childhood cancer. The Flying Squirrels players high-fived children as part of the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation as they made the Kourageous Kids Victory Lap around the bases.
