This weekend Zūm was featured on “Matter of Fact with Soledad O’Brien” for deploying the nation’s first 100% EV school bus fleet with bidirectional charging in Oakland Unified School District. From the story: “What are bidirectional chargers? They return any leftover energy in the buses’ batteries to the energy grid. The utility company Pacific Gas and Electric can use that energy when demand from households spikes throughout the day. According to Zum, Oakland's EV fleet will help remove 25,000 metric tons of greenhouse gases from the environment. That's equal to nearly 4,600 passenger vehicles.” Watch the piece here: https://lnkd.in/geQKiVXG #studenttransportation #EVs #V2G #Oakland Hearst Media Production Group
