It’s Halloween week—a perfect time to think about what really scares us. And what could be more terrifying than ... marketing? Believe it or not, many people who would easily walk through a haunted house or laugh off creepy noises in the night find routine marketing tasks downright bone-chilling. But since this is the season to face your fears, here are a few small ways to confront those marketing demons: · Trick or Treat: Ask a happy client for a testimonial or endorsement of your services. You won’t get the treat if you never knock on the door! · Costume Check: Review your professional bio to see if it’s up to date. Add what’s needed to make it reflect who you are today. Extra credit: Look closely at your photo—does it still look like you? If not, it may be time for a reshoot. · Bobbing for Ideas: Commit to creating a piece of thought leadership that will benefit your clients. Hold yourself accountable by promising someone you respect that it’ll be ready by a specific deadline. · Friendly Ghost: Reach out to a former client you enjoyed working with—just to check in. Ask about their current projects and interests. You never know, a simple touchpoint could lead to a new opportunity. · Mirror, Mirror: Ask a colleague to describe your personal brand and learn how others see your strengths. · Take the (Haunted) Stage: Apply to speak at an upcoming industry conference. Sharing your expertise is a powerful way to elevate your profile. · Find a Coven: Become part of a group that piques your interest. It doesn’t have to be strictly professional—community involvement can lead to valuable connections. If you’re already a member of one, consider volunteering for a leadership role to boost your visibility. Try at least one of these ideas, and you might find that your marketing "monsters" are more treat than trick! Happy Halloween!

After our successful collaboration with Bracewell to refresh its homepage, the firm asked us to help re-platform its entire website. We added imagery with video-like movement and subtle micro-animations to draw the eye to key industry information. We also overhauled interior pages to showcase value-added content. #legalmarketing #lawfirmmarketing #webstrategy #webdesign

American University’s fundraising campaign, Change Can’t Wait, exceeded its goal of raising over $500 million, the largest campaign in the university’s history. The client asked us to refresh our original website design to showcase this unprecedented achievement and to develop new sections detailing the initiative’s impact overall and on individual schools, colleges, and organizations across the university. Working together with the marketing team, we developed a digital strategy that would be intuitive, accessible, and engaging. #webdesign #webstrategy #higheredmarketing #contentstrategy

Great content shares many attributes with great snacks: both are tempting to the eye, quick to consume, flavorful, shareable and instantly gratifying. At Right Hat, we often work with clients to create “snackable” content that alters how buyers see your firm. Here’s how you can apply snackability principles to your content. #contentstrategy #legalbuyerinsight #legalmarketing #lawfirmmarketing
