Like most great things (and a few bad things), it started over drinks…an idea that friends with 40 years of combined talent acquisition and generalist human resources experience can join together to serve customers’ talent needs better than anyone else, because we’d have fun doing it. And while we couldn’t agree on who would pick up the bar tab that night…it culminated in the reality that is Risus Talent Partners. Risus (R-EYE-Sus) is Latin for “laughter.” Risus Talent Partners is English for “Your talent challenges are important; let’s partner to solve them.”

Yesterday, we had the privilege of funding a field trip for the Sunshine Projects, an incredible 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving young adults in the greater DC area. The Sunshine Projects provides exceptional enrichment and leadership development opportunities, empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to grow into creative, confident, and independent individuals. Through a wide range of educational and creative programs, the Sunshine Projects helps these young adults craft their own unique experiences and realize the true power they hold. Risus was honored to support such a meaningful cause and contribute to their mission of inspiring and uplifting everyone they serve. #CommunitySupport #RtpLife
Yesterday, our team had a fantastic time exploring the Kid Museum in Bethesda, MD. It was a day filled with discovery, creativity, and inspiration for our members. A huge thank you to Risus Talent Partners for their generosity in making this trip possible. In August, we challenged our team to get involved in community engagement, and it turned out to be a wonderful way to support the environment while also connecting with our community and colleagues. Our team took part in various activities, including: - Trash clean-up to help keep our local areas clean - Organizing food drives to support those in need - Creating a Buy Nothing group to promote sustainable living - Volunteering at a charity event to give back We're so proud of our team's dedication and the impact we made together. Last week, Jordanne from Risus, rocked the CEO Soak Syracuse event. With 40+ business leaders getting soaked for a great cause, they raised $52,208 for ALS research, advocacy, and patient care. A huge thanks to everyone who joined in, donated, or supported this event. The Upstate NY Risus team was there, cheering everyone on and celebrating every splash!
