Thank you Pack Expo 2024! Impressive is an understatement! I felt very fortunate to attend this year's Pack Expo with the faculty from RIT's Packaging and Graphic Media Science Department and over 25 students! The size of this event was incredible and it was great to connect with companies from all over the world. This week has been full of passionate alumni coming to our booth to connect and talk through ways to stay engaged. The department hosted an alumni reception that had an incredible turn out from recent grads graduates from the early 80's! If you were at the Expo and I missed you, please let me know! I’d love to connect. I ended my time here by visiting alumni Jacob Sachs, CPP and current co-op Kate Yehl at Mars Wrigley! I really appreciated them taking time from their busy schedule to show me around the facility! I couldn't have asked for a better trip and can't wait to come back!
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Abbey Phillips, Steve Hasenauer, John Quattrociocchi, and the entire American Packaging Corporation team for welcoming us on our recent field trip to their flexography printing plant. MAAAT 368 Gravure and Flexography students had an excellent opportunity to learn about several processes, including prepress, platemaking and automated plate mounting, ink mixing and matching, anilox maintenance, quality control, and finishing applications, such as slitting and lamination. This experience offered invaluable insights into the industry and inspired our future printing professionals. We truly appreciate your support and dedication to education! #rit #ritcet #flexo
