Tip #4: Utilize 2-factor authentication 2FA is like the life jacket of the work world. We all cringe when we have to use it, but it saves lives. Alright, maybe that's dramatic, but it can save you a ton of time and expense from security breaches. We like to use it for as many programs as possible — especially Google Drive and any banking/finance websites. Our assistants utilize it, and we strongly suggest our clients do, too.

What sets us apart? We offer our clients trained assistants. This means they either have the skills already, or we train them. We keep a soft skill set in mind when hiring, but there are a vast number of hard skills (like the 500 different CRMs we encounter) that it would be unreasonable to expect each assistant to know. If you work with a freelancer, they may not have the resources to learn the hard skills. And if you work with other agencies that contract their assistants, they probably don't invest in the development of their contractors. Know what you are getting before you sign the contract – and please reach out if you want to work with one of our well-trained assistants.

Tip #3: Turn on purchase notifications It's no secret that credit cards offer more protection than debit cards. Our assistants sometimes need access to a form of payment to complete tasks like buying gifts and booking travel. Our policy is to only take credit card information rather than debit card information, and where possible, we encrypt that information with a program like LastPass. As another layer, we highly suggest that the client turn on purchase notifications. This creates multiple levels of protection and gives the client peace of mind.
